NOTES FROM THE SCRIBE:
President Steve and the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Coronado extends to all Coronado Rotarians and their families best wishes for a Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year.
NOTES OF INTEREST:
- Many thanks to Tim Cusick and Bob Shugert for putting together the Annual Christmas Party for the Rotary Family.
- Thanks also to Santa (Walt Heinecke) and Santa’s helpers Jane Simeral, Jan Plumb, and Tokeli Mushovic.
NOTES FROM THE FOUNDATION
Even though we aren’t meeting next week, there’s still time to contact Russ Johnson and make your year-end Rotary Foundation donation.
ROTARY ANNOUNCEMENTS
- President Steve reminded the Club that the Centennial Roto Photo of the membership will be snapped Wed. Jan 12 at 12 noon on the Windsor Lawn at the Del. Appropriate dress for men is a coat and tie. For women, any attire approaching what the late Duchess of Windsor would have worn is appropriate. (Tiara optional.)
- But the big news is that starting with the Jan. 5, 2005 meeting, lunch will cost $16 per person, up from the current level of $15. The guest fee of $20 will remain the same. President Steve said that the Hotel Del Coronado is charging the Rotary Club of Coronado “$15 and high change” per lunch.
- The RYLA committee, chaired by Pam Hammett, is looking for a couple of additional facilitators for the youth leadership conference, which includes Coronado High School juniors.
- Dan Gensler provided a ‘Limbs for Life’ update. Next year the project has a goal of reaching 30 people. They are also looking for photographs of people who have benefited from this project in the past. Contact Dan if you have a lead on any photos.

PROGRAM:
Irish Bob Smyth and the Lamb’s Players treated the partygoers to songs of a century past and some good stories on Bob’s uncle. The Almost Nearly Great Corodini (Paul Plumb) wowed the crowd with feats of magic. Finally, he conjured up Mike Woiwode to coax the guest of honor in with a not-so-stirring rendition of “Here comes Santa Claus.” On the whole, a very good time was had by all.
RAFFLE: It pays to play! So, step up and get in the game.
The difference between "ordinary" and "extraordinary" is just a little "extra."
Now go out and be EXTRAORDINARY!
